Supporting you through life's challenges
Life can feel heavy, confusing, overwhelming, or just hard to make sense of sometimes. Whether you’re navigating a big transition, sitting with long-standing patterns, or just wanting more clarity and ease in life — ROOM TO BE offers a confidential, respectful space where you can slow down, feel understood, and work through what matters to you.
People come to counselling for many different reasons, including:
-
Anxiety, worry or stress
-
Feeling low, flat or stuck
-
Difficult thoughts or patterns that won’t let up
-
Big life changes or transitions
-
Relationship challenges
-
Grief, loss or bereavement
-
Working through past trauma or overwhelming experiences
-
Navigating identity, cultural experiences, diversity or neurodivergence in a way that honours who you are
-
Living with chronic health concerns or disability
-
Confidence, identity or self-worth
-
Workplace stress or motivation
-
A desire for deeper connection with self, meaning or purpose.
Some concerns feel clear and specific. Others are harder to name — both are valid reasons to come.

Our approach
At ROOM TO BE we work together to understand what you’re experiencing and to find ways forward that fit you. Sessions are guided by your pace and your priorities.
We might:
-
Talk things through in ways that feel safe and real
-
Explore practical tools for managing difficult thoughts or emotions
-
Use creative and experiential activities (like imagery, metaphors, or drawing) when words fall short
-
Draw on mindfulness, awareness work, and embodied presence
-
Tap into your strengths, values and wisdom to shape the work
The framework is person-centred drawing primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Creative Therapy.
Creative Therapy is woven in naturally when it supports exploration, expression and insight — always at your choice and comfort.
